Bill graduated from West Virginia University in 1985 with a Bachelor of Science in Petroleum Engineering and later earned his MBA in 1996 from Oklahoma State University.  He started his career with Amerada Hess in the early years of CO2 enhanced recovery projects in Seminole and Brownfield, Texas and later worked assets in the Gulf of Mexico.  Bill worked as Operations Manager at Vintage Petroleum during multiple acquisitions within the Ventura and Bakersfield areas of California.

In 1998 he came to Denbury Resources and managed newly acquired assets in Mississippi. During this time as Asset Manager, Bill managed incredible growth in production, valuation as well as CO2 Enhanced Recovery and led the creation of many new systems and processes to properly manage the company.

After leaving Denbury, he worked as Vice President of Operations at Wagner Oil and also as Vice President of Production & Facilities at Matador Resources in Dallas where he worked within the Eagle Ford and Delaware Basin developments and was instrumental in the building of a 30 MMCFGD cryogenic gas plant in Loving County, Texas. Throughout his career, Bill has been involved in new venture management and by virtue of that understands the needs of a growing organization.

Bill is a career-long member of SPE and served as a liaison to the DFW AADE Board by mentoring and working with the AADE Student Chapter at West Virginia University. Bill also serves on a working Board of Directors with Honor Flight DFW.
